Rootmother Wellness

I’m Amaya Rose, founder of RootMother Wellness & Apothecary—a ceremonialist, folk herbalist, grief facilitator and postpartum doula devoted to creating spaces where tenderness and truth can exist together.

For nearly a decade, I have worked in relationship with plants, land-based ceremony, ritual herbal care and community care. My work is also rooted in my own lived journey through adoption, birth motherhood, pregnancy loss, complex grief and ancestral reclamation. These experiences have taught me that healing is rarely linear and that our most tender thresholds need more than instruction—they need time, relationship, witnessing and places where we do not have to perform being well.
Through private tea meditation, plant-spirit guided meditation and grief support, I help people slow down, return to their bodies and listen beneath the noise of everyday life.

My approach is trauma-aware, spiritually grounded and shaped by the understanding that our well-being is relational: connected to our bodies, our ancestors, our communities, the plants and the land.
I do not position myself as the authority over another person’s healing. I serve as a facilitator and guide, offering invitations rather than requirements and honoring each person’s agency, beliefs, culture and pace. You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are.

My offerings are especially suited to those navigating grief, burnout, transition, spiritual disconnection or a longing to reconnect with their intuition and inner world. Together, we create a soft place to land, listen and remember what is already alive within you.

My services are spiritual, contemplative and educational in nature. They are not psychotherapy, medical treatment or a replacement for care from a licensed healthcare provider.
