I have 20+ years of health & wellness, strength, counseling and instruction practice! I have my Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters of Education in Counseling and am a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer and Medical Exercise Specialist. Some of the best education I've gotten is learning from life and experiences. I believe in trial and error learning and baby steps. I believe that all of the small things really do add up to make a big difference. The best routine that you can do is one that IS best for you!
In my repertoire of work years I've utilized numerous aspects of the elements around me, whether I'm in a fitness center, training in a park, a home, a warehouse, an office or working virtually. I try to make person centered options, creative, challenging, and fun! At the very least, and I'll be honest, I try to guide healthy habits more towards the easy to do and free to try. Regardless of age, current activity level, past or re-occuring injuries, anyone can learn to move properly and make changes in daily habits.
My overall purpose now, is to help and to educate. Movement and wellness is involved in all aspects of our lives, so it would make sense that understanding it and taking action, makes us healthier, stronger, smarter, happier individuals for life, not just right now. I try to clarify the myths involving what exercise/movement and good health "should" look like.
Some form of exercise and movement is beneficial for anybody and everybody. It will simply present differently depending on you. What you need, how you need it and how much time you have.
"It's only hard until it's not; you only can't until you can." ~ Valerie
