Kamal: Urban Soul Tarot

I am a professional Tarot Card Reader with over thirty years of experience in various divinatory fields, and the founder of Urban Soul Tarot Singapore, a tarot studio, that brings tarot into all aspects of healing. As a Life Coach and a Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic programming, Thought Feel Therapy Tapping and Emotional Freedom Technique tapping, my practice of the Tarot is practical, grounded and holistic. In addition to reading and teaching the Tarot, Runes, I-Ching and Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki, Karuni Ki, and Crystal Reiki I also work with Taoist, Native American, Hunab-Ku & Ho'oponopono healing methods, Vedic and Western Astrology, Akashic Records and other forms of divinatory Oracles.

'The Esoteric' had always held an allure for me. Ever since I was 13, I was taken in with the occult. Seeing beyond this world slowly became a daily practice and one that I cherish. I've been people-oriented, a computer geek, and a bookworm for most of my life. I went down the traditional path of getting a master's degree in English Literature, master's in business administration, Software Programming, master's in history and even trained as a Montessori Teacher. Having had a rich life with lots of wonderful people around me, and lots of travel as a child, I grew up to be a flight attendant.

I was very fortunate to fly for Singapore International Airlines & Lufthansa German Airline as a Flight Attendant in the days when Flying was limited, and we had about three to five days off in most countries we visited. It gave me ample time to pursue my hobbies and interests and interact with people. I was working with the Tarot in the days when there were hardly any online communities and not too many bookshops stored decks.

I was always the Gypsy walking into the crew lounge with a deck of cards and a notebook to record my readings. I read extensively for my colleagues in return for feedback. I flew with lovely people who shared their life stories and gave me honest feedback. Going on a flight was fun because the crew was kind and the passengers delightful. Even the most challenging flights were pleasurable filled with laughter. I had another incentive; my company mailbox had my roster and lots of scribbled notes from crew members about what had come to pass from my predictions and this in itself was joyous.

After I left my job and turned my attention to my family, I worked as an academic writer, working on dissertations for those working on their Masters. Then I worked for a psychic SMS hotline for a few months.

Living and Breathing the Tarot, Lenormand, Runes, and practicing Reiki, studying Akashic Records, alongside the psychological toolkit I have, makes me a practitioner that has a unique style and I hope to enrich the lives I touch.

My focus is to bring forth awareness and healing through love and to teach others how to open up their own spiritual potential. I have Clients all over the world and I read across time zones with ease. My practice is a deeply spiritual one and even though I meditate regularly, I do meditate before every reading. My reading table is the sacred space where I want you to feel at ease and it is also a place where I would like you to leave feeling empowered and ready to carry on your path. ​

I believe we all have our intuition ready to guide us, and I would love to help you, tune in to your own higher self. Urban Soul Tarot was created by the effect of bringing spirituality within an Urban Context to help us find our own inner compass and our own moral core.
