Sexual Addiction Recovery Coaching
This is recovery coaching for people whose sexual behavior has become compulsive and who want real freedom from it. That includes pornography use, compulsive sexual behavior, and patterns you have tried to stop on your own and could not. The work here goes underneath the behavior to the thing driving it, because that is what determines whether recovery works.
Who This Coaching Is For
This coaching fits you if you are:
- Caught in compulsive pornography use or sexual behavior you cannot stop through willpower alone
- Tired of the cycle of acting out, resolving to quit, and relapsing
- Ready to understand what is actually driving the behavior rather than just fighting the symptom
- Looking for direct, practical support from someone trained specifically in sexual addiction recovery
Why Emotional Regulation Is the Real Work
For most people, compulsive sexual behavior is a way to manage emotional states. Stress, anxiety, loneliness, boredom, anger, and old pain all create internal pressure, and the behavior delivers fast relief. Over time, the brain learns to reach for it automatically whenever that pressure rises, which is why willpower keeps failing. You are not only fighting a habit. You are trying to remove the tool you have been using to handle everything difficult, without yet having another one in its place.
Recovery builds the capacity that is missing. We identify the states that trigger the urge, learn to stay with discomfort without acting on it, and develop real regulation skills so the pressure has somewhere else to go. As that capacity grows, the behavior loses its grip, because it is no longer the only thing holding you together.
My Background and Training
I am a board-certified life coach and brain health coach with sexual addiction recovery training through the American Association for Sex Addiction Therapy (AASAT). My broader background is in trauma counseling, which matters here because for many people, the behavior first took root as a way to cope with pain that had no other outlet. Addressing the emotional engine, not just the behavior, is what makes recovery durable.
Recovery Without Shame
Shame feeds this cycle. Acting out produces shame, shame produces the pressure that drives the next episode, and the loop tightens. A coaching relationship built on judgment keeps that engine running. I am not here to shame you. I am here to help you understand what drives the behavior and build the capacity to get free of it. The goal is real victory over the addiction, the kind that holds because the underlying need is finally being met in a way that works.
