Desk Reset: Ergonomic Optimization & Stretch Session with Shannon

Are you experiencing stiffness, discomfort, or fatigue from long hours at your desk? Poor ergonomics and prolonged sitting can lead to aches, pains, and reduced productivity. Whether you work from home or in an office, optimizing your workstation can make a significant difference in preventing discomfort and improving your overall well-being in the office and during your hours away from your desk.
This one-time virtual session is designed to collaborate with you to fine-tune your desk setup for optimal ergonomics and teach you simple, effective stretches to prevent stiffness and maintain mobility throughout your workday.
This session is conducted by a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach with 15 years of experience as a physical therapist, working with countless individuals in corporate office settings to improve posture, reduce pain, and enhance workplace wellness both in the office and in your precious time off work.
What to Expect from This Ergonomic Desk Setup Session:
✅ Personalized Desk Suggestions – I will observe your workstation via video and work with you to create real-time adjustments to improve posture, reduce strain, and enhance comfort. You must have a camera that can be moved to show your desk setup while seated.
✅ Custom Ergonomic Recommendations – Learn how to properly position your chair, monitor, keyboard, and mouse to support a neutral posture and minimize the risk of common desk-related issues like neck pain, back pain, and wrist strain.
✅ Four Essential Stretches for Desk Workers – We will go over four targeted stretches designed to combat stiffness, relieve tension, and improve mobility. These stretches are easy to perform anywhere, even in a small office space. I have personally seen the benefits of these stretches from working with thousands of patients in outpatient orthopedic settings over the past 15 years.
✅ Handout for Ongoing Support – You’ll receive a comprehensive guide with ergonomic setup tips and the stretches we review, so you can continue to implement these strategies for long-term health and comfort.

✔ Those with existing mild aches who want to modify their setup to avoid worsening discomfort (please note: this session is not a medical assessment or treatment but can be adjusted to work around current issues)
Why Ergonomics & Movement Matter
Spending hours in a poor desk setup can lead to:
