I get how frustrating it can be to make a lifestyle change. Stepping out of your comfort zone is tough, especially when support from family or friends isn’t always available. Finding the right resources can also feel overwhelming—there’s so much information out there, and not all of it fits your needs or budget. Everyone’s journey is unique because our values, abilities, and circumstances are different. That’s why there’s no one-size-fits-all solution to achieving your health goals. You need guidance from a professional who understands your specific needs and can provide personalized support.
What is a Health Coach?
A health coach is a certified professional who uses evidence-based skills and tools to empower and motivate individuals who want to make self-determined, lasting wellness changes. The health coach meets the individual where they are and provides structure, guidance, and educational offerings in a respectful and positive environment. Using appreciative techniques and motivational interviewing, the health coach works alongside the individual to bring together current strengths and past successes to make reasonable, achievable, and sustainable desired health goals.
As a certified health coach, my job is to listen to your needs. Consider me as a guidebook, filled with information and options available.
The Program
A 12-session one-on-one health coaching package for lifestyle improvement. This program is a great way to reach multiple health goals or focus more in-depth on one health area to support a new lifestyle change.
Together, we will work towards your health goals and find solutions that are right for you. My tailored health coaching includes tools and check-ins to help you along the way.
The Service
I offer free conversational calls so we can learn more about each other and so I can answer any questions you have about me or my coaching. If you decide to move forward, we can schedule our first session.
Before the first session, I will provide you with a Wellness Assessment. This multi-dimensional wellness wheel helps to evaluate your current wellness. It can give you a better understanding of health areas that are important to you and is a great place to begin coaching.
I can also provide you with an optional Value Card Sort Activity to help you determine your values, which change as we age. Values help shape your identity, influence your choices, and give you a sense of purpose. Understanding your values can provide significant help in setting reasonable and achievable goals.
During our first session, we can review your Wellness Assessment / Value Card Sort Activity and begin clarifying an area of focus.
The remaining sessions will progress further into your area(s) of focus. We will create a wellness vision, set long-term health goals, and strategize specific short-term goals. You may be given handouts to help you along the way. Additionally, I can provide resources if needed. You will learn how to set S.M.A.R.T. goals and determine methods of accountability to help keep you on track.
Making any kind of lifestyle change takes time. It is normal to have challenges that arise. Your journey to better health should bring you joy. If a change does not feel rewarding, a new approach can always be considered.
