One view of Functional Strength is getting off the machines. The machines are great and have their place but there is a world of movement and training waiting for you that requires a basic understanding of and ability to express Functional Strength.
This session goes over the foundational patterns of human movement. It is the gateway to understanding what your training needs to include in order to become functionally strong and able. IE support your own bodyweight, under load, while expressing whole body, dynamic patterns of physical expression.
A complete, head to toe, overview of these patterns of movement is covered along with discussion of the "why" around each one. This is key, understanding WHY you are doing what you're doing. Once you understand why you might aspire to move past the machines of the traditional big box gym and why each of the fundamental (functional) human movement patterns have their place, you'll be well on your way to the next phase of your training.
