Meditate & Connect with Serena

Witness your mind and tune in with the subtleties of your body during this 20 minute guided meditation. Each week, you will be offered a new intention to center your practice as well as a journal prompt to connect with your purpose.

Each class will begin with verbal prompts to help you establish a comfortable, sustainable seated position. You will then be led through a gentle breathing exercise to help relax your body and calm your nervous system. While you are in this comfortable, relaxed state, Serena will share a central intention for the day’s practice as she continues guiding you through your meditative practice. Serena will offer cues to help recenter your mind and strengthen your awareness. As you are guided out of the meditation, a journal prompt will be shared with you to reflect on during the remainder of the class.

How to Prepare

Serena recommends joining from a chair or meditation bolster in as peaceful a space as you have convenient access to. Using headphones or earbuds may be helpful for softening outside noise. While we are attempting to minimize distractions, we will practice accepting those that are outside of our control. Have handy a notebook and pen, or other journaling materials, if you would like to write through the closing prompt.

As you begin to develop your practice, you may initially experience a heightened awareness of existing inner turbulence. Over time, however, you will likely experience increased clarity, peace and serenity.
