Join me to learn about breathing techniques that can help you slow down and get some much needed rest. We will be covering three different techniques during this session: shitali, bhramari, and chandra bhedana.
Shitali (also known as the cooling breath) involves sucking in cool air through the mouth and exhaling warm air through the nose. It is excellent for calming the nervous system and reducing the impacts of negative emotions.
Bhramari (also known as humming bee breath) is an incredibly introspective technique. You close off all of the channels taking in sensory information and tune into the sound of your own voice. It calms anxiety and hyperactivity.
Chandra bhedana (moon breathing) is done by breathing in through the left channel and out through the right channel. By doing this, you awaken the lunar/feminine energy within the body. This technique aids in relaxation and is recommended for getting a good night's sleep.
Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. As always, I encourage you to go at your own pace and I hope you enjoy.
