According to Jon Kabat-Zin, mindfulness is about being fully awake in our lives. It is about perceiving the exquisite vividness in each moment. Practicing mindfulness help to create balance and psychological wellbeing. When cultivating mindfulness, there isn’t a need to create a particular mind state, it’s about being aware of each thought, sensation, emotion and allowing them to simply come and go, without being reactive. When we can become less reactive we reduce our stress and are able to participate more fully in our relationships, work, and play.
Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Stress Reduction Coach. She has worked with individuals helping them to stress less and live more for over 18 years. She leads monthly meditation and reflection sessions at her office in beautiful Lancaster County, PA USA.
