A Mindful Journey Working with Unproductive Thoughts with Kelly

Stop living in your head and come home to yourself.

The aim of mindfulness practice is to be more aware, more often. A powerful influence that takes us away from being “fully present” in each moment is our automatic tendency to judge our experience as being not quite right in some way—that it is not what should be happening, not good enough, or not what we expected or wanted.
We can regain our freedom if, as a first step, we simply acknowledge the reality of our situation, without immediately being hooked into automatic tendencies to judge, fix, or want things to be other than they are. Mindfulness provides an opportunity to practice simply bringing awareness to the way things are in each moment, without having to do anything to change things.

In this 45-minute session, Kelly will explore the definitions of mindfulness, awareness, and acceptance; introduce a simple mindfulness meditation to discover your anchor, as well as a formal mindfulness meditation to help you begin to “unhook” from unproductive thinking patterns. There will also be a reflection and journaling time.

Kelly is a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and Stress Reduction Coach. She has worked with individuals helping them to stress less and live more for over 18 years. She leads monthly meditation and reflection sessions at her office in beautiful Lancaster County, PA USA.

This session is for you if you get caught in overthinking, racing thoughts, negative thinking patterns and desire freedom from the stress that unproductive thoughts can create!
