Curious about a plant-based diet, but don’t know where to start or if it’s right for you?
I’ll teach you the ins and outs of plant-based eating, including how to put together well-balanced plant-based meals.
Science has shown again and again that at least a mostly plant-based diet is the healthiest way of eating, and that’s because plant foods contain myriad essential nutrients for good health and longevity, including vitamins, minerals, fiber, carbohydrates, healthy (mono- & polyunsaturated) fats, and yes, even protein!
In the United States, our population predominantly eats the Standard American Diet (aptly abbreviated to SAD), which is an animal-based diet that includes an abundance of processed foods, refined grains, oils, and added sugars. Not coincidentally, we are also in an ever-growing epidemic of obesity and chronic lifestyle diseases, like diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
Transitioning from a mostly animal-based diet to a mostly plant-based one could be the single most important thing you do for your short and long term health.
Understandably though, many people don’t know where to start when making this change. That’s where a nutrition coach like me comes in, someone who has…
…personal experience with plant-based eating since 2017
…read books, taken courses, and attended webinar from experts in plant-based eating
…studied nutrition as part of a Master’s program in functional medicine
…even completed a plant-based cooking course from Rouxbe, a renowned online culinary school
