Strengthen your mind, body, breath, and balance with this ancient Chinese practice of Qigong. This practice will combine postures coordinating, breathing, movement, and mindfulness.
You will learn different breathing techniques, postures, and meditation to promote physical, spiritual, and mindful well-being as well as to improve balance. Regular practice can benefit the immune system, stimulate the body's natural healing ability, reduce stress, and increase stamina and vitality.
No equipment is necessary though a yoga mat or carpeted area can be more comfortable. Wear clothing that is easy to move in.
The exercises can be done seated if needed. Expect to feel energized and relaxed at the end of your session.
We will begin with a brief introduction, a breathing meditation, and then the postures or moving mediations. Explanations/discussions will be interspersed throughout the class.
