Three Simple Steps to Increase Physical Activity with Pamela

Research from The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion shows many health benefits of regular physical activity. According to their research, it was found that a single episode of physical activity can reduce anxiety and blood pressure and improve quality of sleep and insulin sensitivity! Do you suffer from pain? Physical activity can decrease pain for those with osteoarthritis. Regular physical activity can also reduce disease progression for:
o hypertension and type 2 diabetes
o reduce symptoms of depression
o improve cognition for those with dementia, multiple sclerosis, ADHD, and Parkinson’s disease.

As for preventing the development of chronic conditions, there are long-term benefits to being physically active and they include:
o improved brain health
o reduced risk of 8 types of cancer
o reduced risk for fall-related injuries in older adults
o reduced risk of excessive weight gain
o lowering risk of coronary heart disease and stroke

With benefits like this, isn’t it worth taking the time and effort to increase the amount of physical activity in your life? But, that can be easier said then done…right? Does it sound like a daunting task because of the time commitment or other reasons that get in the way of being active? Do you feel like you do not know enough about the different ways of being physically active? Do you need resources to help you determine what types of activity is beneficial to you? Do you need help getting started with an ACTION plan? These are really great questions and concerns, but I am here to help you sort it all out!

If you are ready to take action to make this lifestyle change, I will share with you in this session the "Three Simple Steps" to make this happen.
