I coach women who are fed up with waiting until they lose weight to start passionately living their lives.
This is important because, by rejecting diet culture, they are empowered to stop wasting their precious energy, time, and money trying to change themselves to fit some unrealistic ideal of beauty.
Also, it speaks to their underlying desire to feel valued, worthy, and confident just as they are right now.
We constantly get messages from the diet culture including social media, society, friends, and family members about how our bodies are supposed to look. When we start to feel like we aren’t enough or we dislike our bodies we can get discouraged and maybe even start to dislike ourselves, which can turn out to be self-defeating behavior.
What if you could embrace the idea of taking care of yourself because you respect and accept yourself, not so you’ll love and accept yourself?
That would be quite a shift, don’t you think?
