I lost and gained back hundreds of pounds, always searching for a true solution, but never finding one. At my highest weight ever, when fat comprised more of my body than everything else added together, I finally surrendered my pride and gave up on trying to do it my way. I devoted myself to learning what truly worked. Rather than holding on to old habits and preconceptions, I became educated on anatomy and physiology, nutrition, exercise science, and behavior modification. Using evidence-based techniques, I lost over 200 pounds. It was a real battle, but it turned out to be much simpler than I had ever realized.
There are no secrets, no mysteries. There are biological principles that apply to everyone. We can use those principles to develop a plan specific to you, personally. Every human body is different, every personality is different, every life is different, so every fitness plan has to be different. I'm not going to just spit out some pre-written program.
