Ann, Mindfulness Meditation Guide

Welcome.

I have been practicing meditation for about 20 years. I turned more seriously towards the practice in 2013 during my mother's last years of life. Throughout this difficult and very emotional period of life, mindfulness allowed me to find a little space to simply breathe. The practice of mindfulness also allowed me to lean into the grieving process. I now live with a tremendous amount of gratitude for mindfulness teachings, for the practical application of mindfulness in every day life to help ease emotional suffering, stress, the pain of loss and separation, and really, so much more...

I decided to pursue certification to become a mindfulness meditation teacher. My simple goal was to learn how I might best serve others on their path towards a more mindful way of moving through he world. I was (and still am) an English language instructor, and I have many years of teaching experience. It only made sense to expand into an area that is so much a part of my heart.

I received my training through the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training Certificate Program (MMTCP) taught by Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach. It was an intensive two year journey with a practicum component. I graduated in January, 2023. Since that time, I have been guiding meditations with a small group online.

I live in beautiful Nova Scotia, Canada where I teach English, write, and continue to walk on the beautiful path of compassion and mindfulness.
