Diet and Nutrition FOR PREGNANCY
During pregnancy, there are two main concerns you can help control:
1. Nutrition for your developing fetus
While you can (and ought) to supplement with vitamins of some sort, (whole food targeted nutritional supplements my preferred recommendation over any synthetic isolate formulas), you can also add to their efficacy with a few simple daily upgrades to your own diet.
2. Your digestive challenges
Almost every expecting mama deals with digestive issues, both in early pregnancy and especially in the last trimester. The primary culprit is a pregnancy hormone that relaxes smooth muscles throughout your body, including your gastrointestinal tract. This relaxation significantly slows your digestive system down, which can lead to all sorts of discomforts. And of course in the last trimester, acid reflux is common due to your stomach being compressed.
I can help you with both concerns. With my input, many pregnant mamas experience few to no issues.

Smarter supplementation: With my help and education on effective dietary and supplement choices, your child will gain benefits through mama’s body from conception, throughout gestation, and then nursing.

Think about it.....if WE need minerals, and amino acids, and B12, etc., ......so too does baby! Using a whole food that has it all, and which is nearly guaranteed to assimilate and enter the mom's breast milk, is just a great way to make sure baby is getting all the needed micronutrients.

I educate about the differences between synthetic vitamin and mineral isolate formulas and whole food supplements.

A supplement is simply NOT "the whole product". In a nutshell, it’s taking micronutrients out of context with your body’s supply systems. You might get a full benefit, but more often than not, an isolate approach does NOT support the full picture of health.

What to expect in a meeting: If a mama bear has NOT ever eaten algae prior to becoming pregnant, I pretty much just stick with probiotics and digestive food enzymes along with a whole foods based D3. When mama bear does well in her first trimester, she might begin with the algae, but that has to be her choice. I do prefer a wholefood based line of targeted nutritionals over prenatal synthetics. I will teach mama why feeding her baby REAL food nutrients can help to support a most highly functioning immune system for both baby and mama bear.
