Hello! My name is Alejandra M. Zúñiga, an enthusiastic Nutritionist based in Honduras, passionate about nourishing the body but at the same time enjoying the wonders food can offer. I've worked with several people and industries in all sorts of backgrounds in North and Central America that have made me fortunate enough for me to gain experience and share knowledge. Some of them include public school meal programs, food science and marketing fields within creameries, hospitalized patients and personalized meal plans.
Having experienced diverse cultures from a young age, I understand how environment, lifestyle, and cultural background play crucial roles in shaping our relationship with food. This allows me to have a better understanding for my clients needs, no guilt, no stress, just a balanced approach to lifelong wellness.
This session includes:
- 1 week meal plan
- 6 days (1 day off)
- easy recipes that fit your lifestyle and preferences.
Nourishing your body is about so much more than just reaching health goals—it’s about building a positive, lasting relationship with food. In today’s world, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by the endless diets, trends, and often conflicting nutrition advice. Many people begin to see food as something to control, restrict, or feel guilty about, which can lead to an unhealthy relationship with eating. A well-designed meal plan aims to break this cycle by teaching you how to nourish your body, enjoy food, and make choices that align with your overall well-being with the food that is available to you.
Developing a healthy relationship with food means enjoying what you eat without guilt, stress, or rigid rules. It’s about tuning in to your body’s hunger and fullness cues, and understanding that all foods can fit into a balanced lifestyle. This approach encourages a sustainable way of eating that’s not about short-term diets or deprivation but about forming long-term habits that support both your physical and mental health.
Our physical and mental health are deeply connected, and what we eat plays a key role in this relationship. Our gut, often called our "second brain," reflects our emotions—whether it's butterflies, nausea, or stomachaches. A healthy gut and brain connection is essential for emotional well-being. This is why it’s so important to nourish our bodies with essential nutrients that impact our mood, energy, and cognitive function.
For instance, omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, nuts, and seeds can help reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety, while vitamins and minerals like B vitamins, magnesium, and zinc are crucial for brain health and stress management. Conversely, a diet high in processed foods, sugar, and unhealthy fats can lead to inflammation, fatigue, and mental fog, potentially contributing to anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges. Rather than focusing on what to eliminate, it’s more about finding a balance—nourishing both body and soul. Balance truly is the key to everything.
Ultimately, finding what works for you, is the ideal outcome. You already have what you need in yourself!
