What to expect in a meeting: I use zoom to conduct my sessions. I will ask for my clients health history including any diagnosis, medications, supplements, sleep, exercise and stress details as well as the types of foods and meals they consume and whether they cook at home or eat out. I will ask about lifestyle habits such as how stress is managed, how much caffeine, alcohol and sugar is consumed. Following sessions will explore recipes, food choices and if medications may be interfering. Each subsequent session will end with me giving personal recommendations based on our conversations. Additional sessions may include food journal reviews, new recipe ideas, building meal plans, discussing motivation and recommendations on helpful supplements. I recommend but don't require that clients use medical devices to test their blood sugar as we progress in order to monitor their progress. Each session will focus on reviewing and evaluating the clients food journal, sharing science-based research about blood sugar maintenance, exploring the clients personal challenges, reinforcing motivation and improving lifestyle choices such as stress management, sleep quality and exercise. We will continue sessions as long as the client feels they are improving. When the clients goal is reached, our sessions will cease unless the client feels my support is still needed.
