Medication Nutrient Interactions and Depletions Check with Julie

Did you know that your medications can interact with foods and supplements and that medications can deplete nutrients which means you need more of those nutrients than you would if you were not taking the medication? The medication can be necessary and helpful, but you may not be aware that certain foods make it less effective or change its availability in your system. Or you may need to increase intake of certain vitamins and minerals to compensate for the effects the medication has on their absorption and availability for use in your body. Herbal medications can be effective but contraindicated with medications that do the same thing or are processed in the same way and affect how the medication works. The problem is very often, people are not told that about these potentially unsafe or change the effectiveness of the medication. This is how I can help. Submit your list of prescription medications, over the counter medications, herbals, and supplements and I will make and give you a personalized list of foods/herbs to avoid, and foods/supplements to consider based on the nutrient implications of your medications. Your 20 minute session is a when we will go over the findings and you can ask questions about the interactions and depletions found.
NOTE: Continue taking your medications as prescribed. This service is intended to help you plan foods to ensure your meds are as effective as possible and be aware of increased need for nutrients depleted by medications.
