This session is designed for beginners who lack physical activity.
Diane uses a combination of modified stretches and simple exercises to help restore your body into a more relaxed state without drastic physical activity. These are simple stretches I model in a chair to provide movement in the joints to decrease pain and stiffness. Lack of movement decreases the synovial fluid in your joints that cushions your joints to provide a full range of motion--without movement in joints, we experience more pain and stiffness.
Diane's techniques are sampled in her book--Mind, Body, Spirit and Discovering the Purpose of Life. In chapter 4 of her book, Diane talks about these techniques she used with her patients to introduce light exercise/modified yoga to reduce pain and tension and increase their overall health and wellness.
