What to expect in a meeting: When you work with me you will become familiar with the ample evidence-based science on how the brain and body interact to control the immune system. Gut inflammation equals brain inflammation and thus nervous system dysfunction. In order to address mental health (including addiction), we first address the gut-brain axis. We will begin with a comprehensive health intake. With this, I have enough information to gain insight into your whole health picture, and I can evaluate where you're at, and where you need to go. You will receive a full on comprehensive functional health and fitness report back which is our starting point. We will learn of the importance amino acids play as the actual building blocks of the healthy nerve cells and neurotransmitters vital for optimal brain and nervous system function. When it comes to learning how we can best optimize our neurotransmissions (think brain messenger skill set), we need to have a more full understanding of the central nervous system and all of the synaptic pathways involved for our brains to function at full operational speed and cognitive performance. What we eat and what we opt to supplement with for filling in dietary/nutritional gaps is paramount for our brain to function at its peak performance levels!
