Weight Loss with a Health focus!
Weight Loss begins with addressing what micronutrients you might be missing. This is first because from foods, your body must derive 50+ essential nutrients, daily, to function in a way that will produce ongoing good health.
These essential nutrients cannot be produced by your body; they must be supplied by foods. These include 20 minerals; 13 vitamins; 8 to 11 essential amino acids; and 2 essential fatty acids.
Next, you want to look at your levels of inflammation.
Because your body keeps weight loss LAST on the priority list, Inflammation is a game changer. It's an interference as the body may not be able match the metabolic needs for weight loss to occur.
This is why we might work out 3-7X a week at a solid pace; with good sweat equity, and even eating cleaner and smarter--but still not see that scale tip down. Keep in mind as well, exercise can also be inflammation-producing. It creates free radicals from the increased oxygen usage. If we don’t have the right micronutrients, our body cannot effectively neutralize the extra free radicals created by exercise.
Last, we look to your thyroid. It can be significantly affected by nutrition, especially a lack of minerals.
What to expect in a meeting: First, I help you address your micronutrient and gut health. Then, we look at inflammation which may be present. Last, we can focus on metabolic function which will in and of itself optimize a person’s weight loss to function at peak performance levels.
