Hey angels. Welcome! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Daja Karumba- a Holistic Nutritionist, and the founder of Karumba Naturals, a health and healing brand geared to helping individuals heal themselves when afflicted with disease and to also assist them in cutting off from unhealthy relationships with food.
I have to admit that I wasn't always the health guru that I am today. I was completely ignorant about the detrimental effects of my food choices. Consequently, I indulged in unhealthy eating patterns. Shortly after my 21st birthday, I was introduced to the Great Dr. Sebi. If you aren’t familiar with Dr. Sebi, it’s still not too late to learn about him! He was one of the greatest herbalists of all time. His motive was to leverage the healing properties of herbs and plant foods in order to lead a life of proper health and vitality. After I garnered adequate knowledge from him for two weeks, I decided to explore veganism. It was definitely not a coincidence that I happened to come across Dr. Sebi. I was certain that it was a message from the universe. After undergoing a detox with the help of herbs, I immediately adopted a plant-based diet.
During my transitional phase, I was also attending school to become a Forensic Pathologist (trained physicians who are skilled in examining the bodies of people who die suddenly, unexpectedly, or violently). Since the age of 5, I knew I wanted to become a forensic pathologist. I believed that my purpose in life was to be the voice of the dead because they could no longer speak for themselves (a little creepy, I know). However, the change in my lifestyle set me on a new path, bearing a different purpose. I realized that I was meant to help people LIVE!!
My life changed forever!! After completing my degree in biology, I moved on to become certified in Holistic Nutrition. Here I am almost 7 years later- smarter, wiser, more passionate than ever, and positively equipped to help change the lives of others.
