Hello! My name is Deirdre Pizzoferrato and I am a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist and founder of Nutrition Nanny®, and online parenting platform that provides innovative programs and services aimed at helping today's parents raise a healthier generation! My career spans over 20+ years in obesity research and program development & innovation. But my most valuable experience to date has been my "hands on" experience in raising my own 3 children, who are now technically "young adults" as my twin sons are 20 and my daughter is 17! But in the past 20 years, I have faced just about every parenting challenge, blunder, and pitfall - yes, even despite my degree! In fact, it was the very irony of growing my career in pediatric weight management while raising my own children that opened my eyes to the insidious parenting pitfalls that even the most well-intended parent falls victim to! This realization ignited a fire inside of me to change the status quo by empowering parents and caregivers with the tools and know-how for raising sensible and confident eaters.
