1:1 Broadening Your Horizon for 6 weeks with Coach Maynard

Welcome to this 6 week one-on-one 30-minute sessions per week with me, Coach Destiny Maynard. I am a National Certified Personal Trainer with Distinction and a specific focus on working with those in Special Populations and Geriatrics, meaning anyone who has chronic medical conditions or is not currently a professional athlete. I will gather information about you to discover your current and previous forms of activity (no matter if it is/was specifically exercise or not) you have participated in and then build upon your knowledge and familiarity. With both my Health and Exercise Science degree (physical health) and Psychology degree (mental health) I am better able to treat you, the client, as a whole person verses just focusing on one aspect of your life.
We will set Specific Measurable Achievable Realistic Time-bound goals. I am all about reality; and acknowledge that everyone’s reality is different. I will provide a plethora of perspectives and think of every possible idea with you. Some ideas may obviously not work, while others might just actually work. There is no cookie cutter approach when it comes to working with individuals. Therefore, the healthy lifestyle changes that I will suggest will be specifically customized to you and your life. I do not have one size fits all scripted regiment for everyone. I do have a base knowledge about various ailments, but I will first and foremost listen to you, your needs and wants before making suggestions.
Together we will broaden your horizon of Health and Wellness. We will discuss your current physical exercise level and then discover what additional physical exercises you are able to perform and seamlessly add them to your daily life.
Additionally, we will discover the best time and place that you have a set amount of mental health meditation time every single day. Whether that is while you are going for a walk, doing some yoga or tai chi, or perhaps another form of relaxation techniques.
Lastly, we will have a basic healthy food discussion, which will, without a doubt, include desserts! Yummy! We will also discuss the pros and cons of certain foods pertaining to your specific health goals.
Each week, we will discuss the up and downs from the previous week and what we can work towards during the following week. Every week we will focus on specific aspects that will keep us on our path of moving forward in life.
My goal as your Coach is to help you acquire new and healthier habits that will encourage you to live a healthier lifestyle. These new habits will become apart of you, and less like a chore. I plan and hope to help you reach your goals. Most importantly, these new habits will have been become engrained within you. They will naturally be a part of you. These new healthy habits will continue to be a part of your life beyond you reaching your original goal. The purpose of a session with me, Coach Maynard, is to broaden the horizon and keep moving forward.
