In our first session, we will discuss any symptoms and diagnoses. I will have you do an intake form and with this, I will go deeper into evaluating 7 different areas of wellness; Nutrition, Movement, Sleep, Emotional and Mental Well-being, and Environmental and Relational Health. Then in our next session together, we will create a wellness plan to transition you on the path of the least resistance into making meaningful lifestyle changes that will get you on track to your goals. That is not to say that some of the lifestyle changes, you may still find challenging, but that is exactly where my expertise comes in! I had gone through the same journey when I was dealing with my autoimmune disease symptoms. So I will help you find the best ways for you to incorporate all the tools I give you into your lifestyle. Each week we will talk through what worked and what didn’t and why and put all your puzzle pieces into place. From here, you are on track to reaching your goals! Your goals may be as simple as having more energy and cleaning up your diet, or as intricate as coming off pharmacologic medications and achieving remission. In weekly sessions, I will be tracking your positive results, and evaluate and help you through anything that may be preventing you from making and sticking with the changes. Through trial and error, we will pivot to find what works best for you, while building up your wellness toolbox.
We will discuss any questions you may have, I will provide my wellness tips that are tried and true, and any new and relevant health data I've found that week. With my background in the pharmaceutical industry, I am highly trained and skilled at taking information posted in a format for healthcare professionals and summarizing it into something digestible for the average person. On the other hand, I understand you on a deeper level because I was you; confused and feeling helpless or even hopeless facing diagnoses with limited support from doctors and conflicting information all over the internet. We also know that emotional and mental health is just as important as what is physiologically going on in the body, so please use me as a sounding board, friend, and advisor.
Additionally, I love cooking, so if you have been struggling with nutrition I have all the tasty recipes, tips, and tricks you could ever need! As someone who loves food but also has Celiac Disease, I learned a long time ago, that if you want something you’re going to have to do it yourself (and it’s much better my way, anyway ). I was even such a foodie that I majored in Food and Agribusiness Marketing, so any confusing food labels or grocery trips you’ve been having, I got you. You will be an expert at recognizing the real good stuff and sniffing out any false claim advertising. Again as someone trying to eat better for their health, the false marketing tactics can really hit hard. Welcome me as a part of your team, and we will find the best strategies to get this team across that goal line together!
I don’t see a patient; I see a person.
