In this 1 hour package, I will meet you where you are. If you are a beginner checking out the wellness field and want a introduction session to see what it is all about, or needing a check up/follow up session or an advanced wellness practitioner, I will be able to work with you on obstacles or blocks in your practice. For all those in-between, we will move quickly into achieving your goals after the initial 15 minute consultation.
You will understand how your internal individual Mind - Body - Spirit system is currently working & how to set and reach your personal goals to improve self awareness leading to better and improved overall general health.
Fears & or Negative experiences create stress (emotional, physical, mental conscious - subconscious - unconscious reactions). Stress creates an onset to a chain of reactions. I refer to this stress response as “stress bugs” - neuro-physiological chemical changes that occur in the body. Stress attacks us (our mind/body/spirit) on every level and we become symptomatic. Following a difficult experience, we give “stress bugs” (emotional and mental reactions to events) power unconsciously depending on our insights, story and interpretation of the event.
We embed and repeat certain thoughts or feelings and become neuro-chemically “stuck.” We need to identify and develop ways to let it go, and ‘re-wire.’
Focus on Healing by learning how to listen to your body and mind. Does it need - mending gentle movement, chanting, stretching, deep sleep, hot or cold soaking bath, hiking, to scream, laugh, cry? Learning what your body needs and how to listen and heal is essential. “Never enough time” to do what is best for us. This is counter-cultural to a fast paced caffeine - culture that distracts us from our true selves and creates multiple symptoms.
If interested in adding on packages - after the initial session, ideally, we will have some walk & talk integrative nature meetings via phone. Explore sitting in nature or "nature bathe" - when possible, take a walk, sit outside on grass or a bench, get some vitamin D in the winter, gaze at the clouds, listen to the birds, feel the breeze on your skin. Hike in clean air, cleanse your lungs - go at your own pace - push at times and be gentle in other moments.
Also, if interested, learn how to begin to crack the code of your dreams. Learn how to be awake -Lucid Dreaming- in the dream state can be a powerful experience that can offer deep levels of healing (psychological/spiritual). Dreams reach the deep areas of your sub and unconscious mind. A potential cryptic code of information to realize, learn from and alter. You can discover how to harness the “awake self” in the dream state and add this skill to your tool bank.
About Me: I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience. I have been in private practice for over 20 years. *Although I am a psychologist, I am not acting as a psychologist during these wellness sessions. My practice is separate and contains a different role then as a wellness coach.
I have various interests from mycology to astronomy and much in-between. Recent studies have included observational learning about bird communication systems and weather patterns. I am known to enjoy an impromptu great snowy winter sleigh ride or floating in a lake in the summer. I live the retreat and am in silent centering contemplation often.
