Welcome to PreventOTive Fitness -- I, Tamara Blanchard, am an online fitness coach with a background in occupational therapy (orthopedics) and kinesiology (the study of movement). I built this program on a passion for health, disease prevention and life longevity. As on occupational therapist, I see all too often the negative effects that happen without proper nutrition and movement, and how under-prescribed these FREE and ACCESSIBLE things are as medication.
This individualized 12-week program offers: 1) custom meal plans that are tailored to your specific caloric needs, dietary preferences, meal prep time, and balance; 2) personalized workout plans, based on your time constraints, use of a home or gym setting, your experience/fitness level and your needed intensities; and 3) 24/7 one-on-one coaching and accountability needs to ensure you are staying on track and for any changing needs.
No matter what your goals may be (i.e. lose weight, tone up, improve health / prevent disease), I have the experience, education, and passionate desire to use my skills to your advantage and set you a foundation for sustainable results.
All too often, healthcare professionals turn to medications and pharmaceuticals to put a band aid over the problem at hand, which can sometimes lead to more distress and negative side effects. My passion for using exercise and food as medicine can not only give you your dream body, but also improve your internal health - leading to better lab levels, decreased aches and pains, and enhanced life longevity.
