Over the decades smoking via cigarettes, e-cigs, vapes, cigars, and pipes has changed. Getting a nicotine fix has had many forms, some less popular than others. And, over the decades, it has become less and less popular. Less seen in advertising and less portrayals in movies and TV shows. Also, facts about the damaging health effects have become more known and visible.
So, now you've decided to make an attempt, whether your first or tenth time, to smoke less or quit smoking altogether. Ok, I got you, you aren't alone in this.
As a team, we will work together using the Harm Reduction model to recuse or stop your tobacco/nicotine use. I'll teach you how to use various skills, like grounding or distractions, to tackle craving thoughts and physical reactions. We'll map out and adjust a reduction schedule that is flexible and yours to control and discuss hurdles that occur.
The goal is to start or maintain your tobacco/nicotine use harm reduction journey. This journey may lead to cessation if that is your desire. Reminder again that you don't have to do it alone.
