Performance Nutrition and the Adult Athlete by Caroline

ABOUT ME
I have a passion for exercise and how nutrition plays a role in our performance and our recovery. The hard part isn’t the exercise itself but is fueling properly to be your best. I want to offer support, motivation and encouragement to anyone looking to step up their athletic abilities at any stage of life. I have experience working with Division I athletes as well as counseling military and CrossFit athletes to meet their nutritional demands. As a previous college basketball player and current CrossFit athlete, I understand the demands on the body daily. You will have the option to schedule follow up sessions to check in and or message me via email to have accountability. I fully believe accountability is the best way to have success when making positive lifestyle changes.

WHY YOU
An athlete is not just someone who plays a specific sport or competes at a high level. There are a variety of athletes out there who have a day job yet enjoy playing sports in their free time or training for a race. If you are looking to fine tune your nutrition to better your athletic performance, this session is for you! Whether you are training for a couch to 5k, Ironman or want to hit a new deadlift record in the gym, I will work with you to hit those goals. The workout itself is only part of the training, it is important to think about how you are fueling your body as well as hydration to truly optimize your workouts.
WHAT WILL WE DO
We will spend time discussing the performance goals you have for yourself as well as your current nutrient intake. We will dive deeper into specific needs for your current training regiment and what changes could be made to better energy levels and recovery. We will breakdown macronutrients, absorption in the body and nutrient timing to ensure your body has what it needs to work hard.
WHAT TO HAVE READY
We will cover macronutrient needs for your body based on height/weight so have up to date and accurate information ready. I will ask for a typical intake on a training and non-training day so please come with a brief food diary of what you normally consume. Have prepared what supplements (if any) that you take and any additional information that you feel is relevant to your health.
