Hi! I'm Andrea and I am a health coach with training in functional nutrition. Before we get started together, I just want to tell you a little bit about what a health coach is.
Health coaches are behavior change specialists who collaborate with clients to help build positive health habits. It is the coach's job to help evoke the inner health coach inside of the client. Together, coaches work with clients to help them discover what their vision for wellness is and how it relates to their values and motivations for change.
A health and wellness coach is not an expert but rather a partner in the client's self discovery of what their definition of well-being is. Many times we think of physical well-being as being absent of disease but it really includes their environment, social connection, spiritual health and more.
So how does health coaching work? Ultimately, the client is the person in the driver seat, meaning that they set the direction and focus for each coaching session. My job is to provide support to the client so that they can develop positive behavior change through realistic and relevant goal setting. The idea is to help the client build self-efficacy so that they maintain lasting results.
My goal as a health coach is to guide you towards making healthy and sustainable choices for your life. My training also includes stress management techniques, sleep management, exercise/physical activity and more.
I offer a free 15 minute intro session so that we can meet and see if working together is a good fit. Should we mutually decide to move forward, we will meet for 1 session a month for 3 months. Each session will be comprised of an overall check in, goal setting and other support that you might need at that time. In between sessions, you will receive check-in emails for accountability and any necessary hand outs.
