Can you believe summer is just around the corner? I know I can’t! Several foods are back in season and the sunnier days will make it even easier to get out and move. There is no better time than now to get inspired and learn where you can add nutrition and health promoting behaviors into your diet and lifestyle.
Join me, Patricia Kolesa MS, RDN as I host an insightful program on nutrition recommendations that you can get started on this summer to better your health. I will begin the program discussing common areas of nutrient and health concern during the hotter months like dehydration and travel occasions. This session will go on to discuss opportunities in which you can add nutrition into your daily routine, including summer food ideas and recipe inspiration. This session will conclude with exercise recommendations and mindfulness techniques that can be integrated into any season.
I am a registered dietitian and founder of Dietitian Dish LLC, a virtual nutrition practice based out of New Jersey. I am fortunate to have had the opportunity to work in multiple areas of nutrition since becoming a dietitian. I began my career working with the United States Rowing Team, then went on to gain experience in weight loss surgery, weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, dialysis, and critical care. As a dietitian, I firmly believe that thinking more about how we can add nutritious foods and health promoting behaviors into our routine , instead of foods to avoid and following fad diets is the key to long term health outcomes. In my practice, I emphasize individualized nutrition and take into consideration the current scientific research we have available on food and nutrition.
