I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist passionate about making healthy living more attainable. I have worked in a variety of settings from inpatient oncology to outpatient weight management. I have a passion for making healthy living easier to implement and maintain. One thing I have seen in practice is the preparation is key. Not only is preparation key in work life, home life, social life, etc but especially when it comes to your health preparing is important. Most of us would say we live busy lives and often being busy prevents us from being able to make good food choices. However, if you plan ahead it doesn’t become as difficult. Meal prep is one major way to cut down on the choices you have when it’s time to eat and makes it easier to make a more nutritious choice. If we don’t have anything prepared and there is a fast food restaurant around the corner, the restaurant will win more often than if we have our meal prepared and ready to eat.
What hold a lot of people back from meal preparing is the time, this presentation will present ways to simplify meal preparation and making it easier to maintain and sustain for a long time.
