Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years. It involves focusing your attention for a set period of time. Studies have found that meditation and other mindfulness-based exercises can reduce stress, anxiety and depression.
Reducing stress is vital- especially if you have been diagnosed with a mental health disorder. Chronic (ongoing) stress can affect your own health or wellbeing, and can include experiencing headaches, problems sleeping, fast breathing and a racing pulse.
