My name is Emem, aka Emi. My calling to the creation of èmi.ologíe is founded on the growing needs observed in the health and wellness industry to incorporate holistic practices in overall care, looking beyond the physical and even the mental being. Just as others have poured into me, I seek to empower individuals on their paths as well to self-awareness and wholeness.
Through Educating, Motivating, and Inspiring others, the goal is that each individual will gain the knowledge necessary to evolve into their fullest potential with an awakened spirit and a fresh perspective that will serve them for many years. I am here to impart the knowledge I have spent years acquiring, but I am also here to glean wisdom from everyone I am blessed to encounter.
My practice is focused on the concept of neuroplasticity, retraining one's brain to create healthier neural pathways that unlock many doors that were once deemed impossible to open. I currently work with students K-12 in charter schools, offering mental health therapy, but I incorporate many disciplines in treatment including meditation, yin/restorative yoga, breath work, etc., and I have seen great improvements in the students who consistently apply the tools they have been offered. They begin to thrive and achieve many of their personal and educational goals.
I have also taught Pilates and Yoga and trained clients at Life Time Fitness, CorePower Yoga, and the YMCA, where I have been blessed to work with a large range of clients from a kidney transplant patient to those who are merely deconditioned and looking for efficient ways to incorporate healthy living without compromising fun. My clients leave better-educated and more empowered to face many challenges ahead of them, not only because of the knowledge that I impart, but also because of the resources I have offer, as I refer them to experts in fields like TCM, naturopathic medicine, etc., when necessary.
My future endeavours include continuing my education on the doctoral level, specifically in gaining more knowledge into Neuropsychology and Child & Adolescent studies. Although I am fully capable and do enjoy working with the older generation, my focus is on the younger population in my studies because I find that it is easier to create healthy neural pathways and lifelong practices, building a solid foundation within holistic wellness, at a younger age; this results in more well-adjusted adults with consistent practice.
My hunger for knowledge will always be a benefit to my clients, regardless of age, so join the many who have experienced the life-altering effects at èmi.ologíe and be challenged in this space so that you may evolve into the person you were created to be.
