My name is Dr. Alia Elias and it is a pleasure to be here! My great joy is connecting with others to help them actualize their highest potential. As Carl Rogers said, “The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.”
I received a Bachelor of Science in “A Holistic Study of Women’s Health” at the University of Massachusetts, a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters in Science in Oriental Medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. After 19 years of clinical experience in various settings, I felt a missing link to the functional medicine I had been practicing. I then decided to pursue mind-body medicine by studying to obtain a masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am a licensed physician in my state of residence and also a counselor in training.
The word “doctor” comes from the word “docere” meaning “teacher”. I am here to teach and guide you, but most importantly, my role is to foster and mirror your own innate ability to heal. Given the proper habits and routines, we can achieve health and balance within all of our systems including the digestive, immune, nervous, and hormonal systems. We will address your energy levels, sleep quality, mood, digestion, movement, sources of joy and play, relationships and boundaries, stress management, nutrition, self-talk, and your habits within your daily life. I offer food sensitivity testing, hormonal testing, and longevity and anti-aging testing to give us more information. We have virtually unlimited modalities to work with including proper nutrition, mindful eating, and meal planning, botanical medicine, homeopathy, personalized supplementation, stress management practices/mindfulness, and lifestyle management.
I offer personalized coaching programs for individuals and groups in the areas of gut health, anti-aging and longevity, hormonal health, sustainable and healthy weight loss, and mind-body medicine. Our therapeutic relationship will be a safe and compassionate space for you to be seen, heard, and understood. I look forward to meeting you!
