
Hi! I'm a certified fitness and Pilates instructor. I received my certifications from International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA). I'm also a current student of health and wellness coaching with ISSA. Within my studies over the years, I have learned both scientific and holistic approaches to healthy eating, exercising, and mental health. My favorite approach, is holistic ;) I believe in keeping things simple and therefore manageable in the long term.
I specialize working with participants with chronic fatigue, long covid, joint pain, depression, and many other health complications that can make exercising difficult. I had bronchitis 9 times within a two year span. I’ve gone to a number of doctors and exhausted my efforts to find the root of my health issues. All I can say is that I myself along with many, many others have suffered bizarre symptoms since Covid-19. And unfortunately, there just aren’t any real answers yet. Or.. much support for people living with these ongoing symptoms like me. I've had chronic joint and muscle pain, severe fatigue, as well as newly developed asthma. After failing to find answers, I turned to holistic care, including exercise.
At first, I found myself unable to keep up with my fitness classes as a participant. Sometimes I need longer or more frequent spans of time to warm up or to breathe and recover. So, I began choreographing my own low to moderate impact aerobic routines, that consist of periodic recovery movements. Also, depression can often go hand in hand with chronic illnesses. Or sometimes, it just shows up by itself. Depression is a very real symptom and its loathsome presence has increased for many of us in recent years. And depression alone can hinder one's ability or motivation to workout. Therefore, I pair my routines with the endorphin- fueling beats of retro pop music and occasionally.. disco lights.
